  • abundant roof tile, one (seen) pot sherd, large mortar pieces
  • This dark brown soil was filled with abundant small-medium size stone, abundant tile and large chunks of mortar. The cut runs N-S along the eastern edge of the wall and curves slightly at the corners in the north and south. The rest of the cut is in the section, which shows that the larger chunks of mortar are more towards the north than the south of the cut. There is a collapsed chunk of pavement at the SW corner, and the fill covered the make-up/floor surface. There was a large paving stone at the SE corner of the trench.
  • There was only one pot shard seen in the trench. 5062 is apparently covered by 5001 and seems not part of the destruction layer 5034.
