  • Inscription, numerical, dolium rim fragment
  • Terra cotta
  • Fragment w., 26 cm. Dolium: Flattened rim: top w., 13 cm; th. ca. 6.cm; ht. of outer, beveled face, ca. 5.5 cm.; w. of projection from vessel wall, ca. 4.5 cm. Vessel wall th., ca. 8.5-9 cm. Inscription: Ht. letters 3.3 cm. Width of groove on principal lines, 3-4 mm. W. serif, averge 5 mm., max. 7 mm.
  • Inscription :...] III A XXI [no break between units] Segment of dolium rim. Inscription incomplete at left, complete at right. Running along the outermost edge of the top of the rim, the writing is aligned so that letters face out from the vessel mouth. Deeply sunk, short serifs. Color of fabric: light yellow-tan. Tiny dark micaceous inclusions fleck the fabric. Fragment broken at both ends and vessel broken away below.
