DescriptionD-shaped iron buckle with a straight tang, probably for a belt. Corrosion on the surface makes it impossible to know whether the section was round or flat.
State of ConservationHeavily corroded, tang hinge does not move.
ComparandaD-shaped buckles similar in shape and size to this one were found in 12th- to 13th-century contexts at Monte Copiolo: Vona 2008, 65.
