Description

  • Belt-plate
  • Bronze
  • L., ca 8.3 cm, w. 5 cm, th. under 1 mm. Piercings: diam. 3.5 mm.
  • A rectangular piece of thin bronze that is pierced at each corner and in the center.
  • Intact, clean, wrinkled; indented and rubbed by ancient use. One corner is folded; a long edge has tearing and folding, with a crack, towards the end, running into the largest piercing. Three piercings - at opposite corners, and the large now 6 mm. hole at one end - have cracked edges pulled irregularly wider.
