  • Bronze, iron
  • L. 34 mm, w. 11 mm tapering to 7 mm, th. 2 mm.
  • Thin, small bar that tapers toward one end and is broken at both ends. At the wide end, there is an attachment hole (~3 mm in diameter) in which is preserved the shaft of an iron nail. Although it is impossible to say, perhaps this fragment comes from a pair of tongs?
  • Fair to poor. Broken at both ends. Bronze surfaces clean; corrosion product around the piercing that contains iron nail remains.
