  • Buckle, D-shaped
  • Iron
  • L. ca. 4.5 cm.; w. at straight end 2.5 cm., .; w. max. ca. 2.8 cm. Frame: straight edge, ca. 4 x 4 mm.; at round end ca. 7 x 7 mm.
  • A small long D-shaped buckle frame, swelling slightly in contour and in section from a straight thin back. The section is circular. The transverse is rectilinear, with a rectangular flattened section. The tang extends beyond the border of the buckle.
  • Fair to poor. Frame intact but tang missing; heavily encrusted with tiny white fragments of ? mortar embedded.
