Description

  • Ring
  • Bronze, blue glass
  • Diam. ca. 20 mm Hoop: w. 4.5 mm tapering to 3 mm., th. 3.5 mm at the setting, tapering to 1 mm.; ht. at the inlay, 4.5 mm. Inlay: diam. 3.5 mm.
  • Bronze stirrup ring, hoop half intact, broken near the central ornament on one side, broken almost halfway around the hoop on the other. The small blue glass bead-shaped ornament is set into the apex of the swelling on the hoop. The hoop itself is decorated, with a grooved pattern of verticle notches, symmetrical on either side of the glass jewel.
  • Close to half of the hoop is broken away. However, the surface is clean save for a thin layer of dirt and patina.
