Description
- Earring
- Bronze, bone, colored paste
- Hoop, diam. 19 mm, w. of band 2 mm., th. 1 mm. Beads: diam. 6-7 mm., w. 3 mm., th. ca. 1-1.5 mm., hole, diam. 4 mm.
- The earring consists in a hoop that is a thin bronze band whose ends meet, to be inserted through an earlobe piercing. On it are strung two ring-shaped beads of different shades of blue, one dark, one lighter. The color of the lighter one is illuminated by that of VM07_322, from the (lost) matching earring, now a dull blue-grey, once shiny lighter blue, as this one seems to be, discernable through a crack in its ivory-colored encrustation. The material construction of paste over a bone core, can be determined by VM07_322, where paste has flaked away revealing the core.rn
- Medium. Bronze is slightly overlaid by encrustation. Beads are overlayed by an ivory-colored crust.
