Description

  • candelabrum?
  • Bronze
  •
  • Bronze candelabrum top with two or three petals, cut from sheet-bronze. Ornamentalized cap for the end of a thin cylindrical element, very simply conceived. It is neatly cut and wrapped from thin sheet bronze, so that three simple rectangular petals curl back and out. The main sheet wrapped around the cylinder, with a small flap extension to anchor the wrapping. The part of the tube thus formed which extended beyond (or beside) the end of its support was cut to make flaps curled outwards.
  • Fair. Somewhat deformed but original shape intact.
