- Spindle whorl
- Terra cotta
- Diam. 3.3 cm., th. 1.8 m., diam. hole 8 mm. one side 6.5 mm. the other.
- Spindle-whorl with a carinated profile. The carination, rounded off, bisects the vertical section. The hole is tapered, to fit the narrowing tip of a spindle shaft.rn The fabric is orange buff, relatively fine grained with no inclusions.rn
- Broken, a vertical shear removing about a third of the whorl. Worn and pitted; traces of wear from use visible at the hole openings, especially at the top where the spindle rod was inserted.
