Dimensions3.7cm long overall, 2.4 cm long "stem", 1.4 cm long "cap". 2.05 cm wide "stem", 3.6 cm wide "cap".
DescriptionSmall lead cap which looks like a mushroom. The "stem" and "cap" parts are joined under the cap in an irregular joint suggesting soldering or melting to seal. stem is hollow, and seems to be made of a rolled up sheet of lead. Rolling seems to be original to manufacture, as the cap is fitted around the rolled tube. stem is broken at bottom. Flange on cap is irregular and uneven. Given the context this probably relates to the water fistula.
