  • Quern - catilus stone, 7 fragments
  • lava stone
  • 35cm diameter, 8.5cm tall, 11cm inner diameter
  • Catilus stone preserved in seven fragments. Iron socket inserted on one side ca. 17 mm from top edge. Socket measures 7.5 cm wide, 40 mm tall, and 45 mm deep. Socket is rectangular but divided in half, making two openings, measuring 32 mm tall x 25 mm wide. Socket is held to quern with lead solder. Iron repair clamp is preserved on opposite side, measuring 47 mm long by 35 mm wide. Clamp easily fits into groove preserved on opposing face of connecting fragment.
