Description

  • Bead

  • L., 1.15 cm.; diam., 1.5 cm. max., 4 mm. at the ends. Hole, diam. 2.5 mm. Decorative zone, w. 4.5 mm., central groove w. 1.5 mm., depth at least 1 mm.
  • Well-made ovoid polished bone bead, barrel-shaped, articulated with a horizontal band of lathe-cut grooves of different depths and widths. The central motif is a deep wide notch closely flanked by a less deep and by a shallow groove on each side to make a pattern of two ridges. This band is set slightly closer to one end of the bead than the other. Cleanly rimmed drilled piercing.
