- Volute (?) with leaf-shaped ornament
- unknown
- unknown.
- l.. 6.6 cm, w. 7.7 cm, ht. 4 cm.
- Broken on one face and below; a small part of the relief is broken away.Worn, with light grey-brown encrustation. One fresh chip at lower right corner.
- The front of this element bears a leaf-shaped motif within a frame, tapers at the sides like a cone. The surface is roughened as if for insertion or juxtaposition to other marble elements, and it is lightly beveled,. The leaf vegetation springs from a thick stalk, 1.7 cm wide, from which a thin stem curls down and to the right. Although the pattern outlines are simple, the workmanship was precise and delicate.
- The relief was used as a finishing ornament, perhaps even an inset element, on some artifact. The form and cursory vegetal ornament recall the finials of funerary stelai and small altars. The style of the carving suggests a late date and quite possibly post-Roman.
