- Drapery or ridged object, fragment
- unknown
- White marble, medium-grain.
- L. 9 cm; w. 6.5-4.9 cm; th. 3 cm.
- Broken behind, large pre-modern chip on worked top surface removing a big semicircular patch. The break at one other end cuts across a small thickness. The surface is uniformly lightly weathered, blotched with tiny dark fungal specks, patched with lichen on the flaked under-surface. There are minor new chips on the narrow sharp edge.
- This is a flake from a rounded statuary feature, curving in both dimensions. What it represents is hard to discern. A soft material has ‘bunched’ in four tubular long elements, massed in high relief, and the element curved in both dimensions. Beside it on one or both sides, other elements stood out also in relief. This bunched mass was crossed at one end of the fragment by a deeply drilled straight narrow channel that cuts close to the background surface.
