The inclusions were comprised of both modern and ancient objects and architectural fragments which were distributed throughout the stratum. A tree found in this area caused disturbance to the stratum (tree was dead; stump removed with all the roots).
  • The stratum was distributed along an incline and had a decreasing thickness from east to west. This incline was a result of terracing in the area. This terracing was removed from the whole area of the trench.
