Interpretation

    • grave of an infant placed in a hole on top of brick debris. body appears to have fallen into this position after burial b/c of the position of the bones and twisting of the torso. the skull is crushed, probably by the rock that was found on top of it. feet are missing, but skeleton was found with a trowel, so it was probably cut earlier and not a result of excavation. the body appears to have been placed in the earth in empty space. when the "coffin" collapsed, the skeleton fell into this position. placement of the bones indicate that they were most likely skeleton when they fell.
