Interpretazione

    • pavement preparation deposited during the construction of the casale. It has been encountered only in an area where the roman pavement below has collapsed, necessitating a deeper fill layer to level the ground for paving than in the rest of the area. This may have required this additional, stabilizing preparation layer.
