  • corner formed with 5209 is bonded, forming SW corner of N block of barracks. that 5501 does not continue to the S of 5209 indicates that the corridor/alley between the barracks blocks was open to the W. a small protrusion of mortar on the SW corner of the wall perhaps served as a base for a pilaster on the W entrance
