  • The deposit of earth and human bone from an ossuary. The upper several centimeters are predominantly soil and rock while the lowest centimeters are solid bone. Bottoms on the large white paving stones and the grave of 4234. The fill of the latter grave and 4231 are very similar.
  • The components of the upper part of this context resemble 4230 in composition, suggesting the ossuary was cut into that deposit. Overdug - we dug into the still partially intact grave of 4234 above while cleaning the fill.
