  • A squarish intrusion in paving system 4017 at the western end of the north wall of the lime kiln praefornium 4123. When the mouth of the lime kiln was emptied of its fill, 4128 and its cut were easily distinguished from the built portion of the lime kiln and the surrounding area. The fill was darker as it descended and more compact near its eastern and northern limits.
  • The fill bottomed at a layer of burnt soil and the pack of stones and more clay-like earth on the western edge, wedged against the praefornium structure. These last may form part of the action of making and filling the cut.
