Interpretazione
-
- This is the exterior wall of the borgo created in the Late Middle Ages, after 1297 and the suppression of the monastery. The typology of the windows suggests a fifteenth-century date, though in 1478, VM is described as dirutum. It is tempting to associate this construction as a reaction to the attack of VM by the inhabitants of Gorga, in 1398. See Giampiero Raspa, "La Storia," in Villamagna (1999).
