  • The cut seems to be a N-S continuation of cut SU 10036, although it is at a higher elevation. On the southern side the cut is vertical, but as it progresses, the cut goes underneath part of SU 1003. On the western side of the cut the walls are vertical about half-way down where there are stones of the wall and then the cut continues down vertically. Further north, the cut goes under the wall under the modern road. The cut narrows a lot at the northern end where it goes under a tegola SU 10038. The base of the cut is horizontal, although there are variations in elevation.
  • cut was not excavated to the north
