Interpretazione

    • Unclear. One hypothesis is that it is a reinforcing wall for the cistern SSU 10000, and that the slanted top is to remove water condensation from the cistern walls.

  • Wall is composed of an irregular arrangement of white stones and mortar with very few irregularly placed tile fragments. The wall is very compact and almost entirely intact. The surface of the wall is completely encased with a calcareous deposit. The top of the wall is covered by a layer of concrete and tiles (54-56 cm in length) with a 3 cm mortar gap. The mortar in the wall is flush with the stones. It is slanted from south to north.
  • The wall abuts SU 10002 and 10003 in a very clean manner. The wall was not excavated to its base, but was identified.
