- The fill consists of loose brownish black soil showing evidence of burning. At the surface were pieces of mortar, also damaged by fire, and also pieces of limestone. Pottery sherds and chunks from pavement preparation 7031 were deposited at the bottom of the fill. The walls of the cuts were lined with broken bricks and stone slabs.
