  • Stratum displayed plain surface except for the presence of a few large inclusions visible. The clay soil matrix was friable, with medium concentrations of randomly distributed building material fragments (cubilia, broken bricks, white stone) and a very low concentration of animals bones and ceramics also randomly dispersed. The base of this stratum was irregular for the presence of large inclusions of building material and was evident because of differences in consistency and compaction.
