  • A horizontally dispersed surface composed of a flat fragment of cocciopesto and reddish burned brick fragments which are very cracked due to heat exposure. Subcircular hearth constructed on plane surface with marked evidence of burned terracotta, heavy ash deposits with rich charcoal inclusions. On two sides, the hearth was delineated by a reused fragment of Roman cocciopesto (5 cm thick and irregular in shape) on the southern edge, and two medium sized irregular white stones to the east.
  • Along this cocciopesto and stone, clay was smeared possibly to link these elements to the terracotta tiles that formed the surface. There was heavy evidence of burning.
