  • A group of tiles placed in the center of the trench. There are two distinct groupings of tiles that probably formed one feature in the past, but which now appears fragmentary. The southern-most group is composed of horizontally laid tiles. On the eastern edge of this group, one was placed vertically. The northern-most tiles are arranged obliquely/vertically from east to west and form a straight edge with US 8093. These tiles display evidence of having experienced intense heat, as they are blackened and discolored.
