  • There is a considerable quantity of wall plaster fragments, with thin preparation, with of white plaster and a surface decorated with what appear to be geometric patterns with red, yellow ocher and gray shapes.
  • Beaten earth floor in Room II. The compaction of this context varied somewhat, but the components seem to be consistent throughout (orange-brown earth with fragments of brick and mortar and flecks of carbon).
  • Not excavated in 2009. This surface may have been dug through in areas. The layer below contains loose dark brown earth and broken tiles. We thought that this layer had been cut by the foundation trench for 4005 and dug the foundation trench as if this were the case, but in the southern end of the cut we found a beaten earth surface that abuts the wall. I believe that this layer covered 4355 - the construction debris in the middle of the corridor near the SW corner of the cloister, but was very thin in this area and less compact. Fully excavated in 2010.
