  • Opus testaceum wall with orange bricks of varying length but a regular thickness of 4 cm and thick mortar beds averaging 3.3 cm thick, but as slim as 2 cm and as thick as 4 cm. Mortar heavily included with black and purple pozzolana, unwashed, bricks very irregular in length. Much bluer and friable mortar evident in that could indicate later repointing, as well as could the lime wash/paste over the bricks and mortar beds. This mortar includes purple and black pozzolana, unreacted lime and flakes of terracotta. Inclusions is whiter mortar as big as 1 cm with some terracotta flakes evident as well.
