  • The cut is vertically placed in SU 10028. The topmost part of the cut has a semicircular shape and begins at -0.25m from X. It goes down another 0.45 m to the opus signinum facing on the wall. In the opus signinum the cut is clearly trapezoidal in shape with an interior face of 13 cm and an exterior face of 22 cm. The cut is further expanded by a later intervention forming an oval shape 4 cm down from the signinum and another very large semicircular cut 65 cm down from the signinum. The hole in the base was not uncovered, but water came out.
  • The cut was excavated only to the same level as the hole in cut 10027, however water emerged from this area.
