- This stratum presents an inclination from north to south with inclusions of rubblely material found in a friable gray-brown soil matrix. The rubble concentration is heaviest to the north. There is a discernable decrease of the concentration about 2/3 to the south where the concentration on the surface can be described as moderate. There is a rather consistent concentration of inclusions throughout the stratum. The distinction with the successive stratum is clear for reasons of color and composition.
- At the interface with the successive stratum there was a concentration of ceramics halfway down the western trench edge.
