- A cut with a subrectangular form on the surface. The SE and NE corners are more rounded; the limit of the NW corner is not discernable for the later intervention by a medieval posthole. The walls on all sides are oblique, sloping inward. The base of this cut is for the most part plane, with slight undulations (1-2 cm difference in depth) randomly placed on the interior. It slopes gently with the natural slope of the area.
