  • very occasional fragments of pot/tile, etc.
  • Very deep deposit of dark brown gray silty sand noticeable for its very frequent inclusions of tree roots. Appearing burnt in places. Almost like topsoil-humous in consistency. Excavated fully in eastern part of trench, but continues into western section.
  • Deposit was very much denser/darker in the western corner with even most roots although considered the same.
