- relatively compact surface, c. 20 cm. thick, containing abundant pottery and seemingly extending over the fill of robber cut 5175, as it was not cut by it.
- may have been overdub in a couple of locations, particularly along the S and W sides of walls 5209 and 5501. We came down onto the rubble layer designated 5505.

- Il grado di frammentarietà e la quasi totale assenza di ceramica datante rendono questo contesto quasi indatabile. La datazione proposta al XII/inizi XIII secolo si basa sui pochi frammenti di ceramica da fuoco medievale e sulle quantità e tipologie decorative della ceramica acroma depurata a bande rosse. Forte presenza di residui tardoromani.
