These pages contain the Field Manual used for the five years of work at Villa Magna. It served as a handbook for our team, spelling out our method and procedure both on the dig and off. It was intended to be a resource for team members (what was that phone number? who is in charge of that?) and a reference for excavation techniques and the standards we adopted for the project.

These texts are—understandably—out of date. We include them here with their flaws as an archive and record of our on-site practices.
